Area Sales Director - Business Center, Mumbai Location

Key Responsibilities:

The Area Sales Director has overall responsibility for new business revenue in a particular market/area achieved through effectively recruiting, managing, coaching and leading a sales team in accordance with the revenue targets set by the Company. The ASD directly supervises a field sales team.

Reports to: Regional Vice President

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drives revenue for The Company by effectively and consistently ensuring their sales team is selling all products and services at competitive prices while maximizing revenue opportunities.

2. Drives high conversion of all products through effectively following the sales process, ultimately resulting in a positive impact to the occupancy and profitability.

3. Drives price through managing margins and developing pricing plans.

4. Provides daily leadership, communicates strategic direction and manages the execution of the sales team as it relates to: enquiry allocation, deal pricing, workstation optimization, competitive strategy, marketing plans, broker plans, etc.

5. Recruits, leads, motivates, trains and coaches the sales team, while maintaining an active role in direct sales; including setting an example of an aggressive pace in goal achievement by personally working deals as a ‘player coach’.

6. Manages the renewals and strategy to achieve retention targets in conjunction with the Operations Director.

7. Accountable for managing the sales performance of each team member, ensuring maximized productivity and results; while providing consistent feedback, coaching, training, and performance management, as needed.

8. Develops a proactive call plan strategy to be executed by the sales team aimed at agents, 3rd parties, local key accounts and neighbouring business to ensure new business sales and revenue targets are achieved. Also works closely with the marketing team to help provide local market knowledge.

9. Has a firm grip on the market intelligence within the cluster by ensuring that the sales team obtains, maintains and updates competitive intelligence.

Key Position Requirements:

1. Proven Sales success through direct sales force within a business-to-business sales environment.

2. Experienced developing, coaching and managing high performing sales in a competitive and result driven environment.

3. Professional and clear communication skills coupled with the ability to network at high level and build strong business relationships.

4. Proven objection handling, prospecting and negotiation skills

5. Customer service focused at all times with the ability to remain flexible and calm in high pressure or continually changing situations.

6. Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

7. 12 to 15 years plus of years of work experience, in a similar role

8. College degree & PG/MBA preferred.

Should have experience in hardcore sales, P & L accountability, Profit centre management, etc of atleast 12 - 15 years.
