A Senior Analyst is responsible for:

• Supporting the Associate Project Manager with problem definition
• Collecting data from secondary and primary sources
• Developing proxies and triangulations for difficult-to-get data
• Analyzing data to extract insights and identify patterns (qualitative and numerical)
• Interacting seamlessly with team members to ensure that individual and collective goals are met
• Producing output in the form of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
• Taking complete ownership of the module assigned
• Training analyst(s) on-the-job
• Taking complete ownership of project sections
• Develop client ready deliverables
• Assisting managers with developing proposals and pitch books

Financial Modelling and Research - Job Description


The client is a FTSE 100 diversified services company with offices across the globe.  


We are trying to identify high performing Analysts / Senior Analysts for the company’s in house Financial Modelling and Research (FMR) team. FMR team provides support in various financial modelling and research activities for the Group Company. The team works on complex and intensive projects primarily relating to M&A, Bid / Commercial Support, Investor Relations. The team provides end to end comprehensive support on building financial models (both M&A and Bid models), financial due diligence, supporting Investor Relations team etc.


Role Summary


Candidate will be responsible for building / auditing financial models. The financial models are quite detailed and prepared in response to govt. tenders / M&A / Corporate Strategy & Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Main responsibilities are:


- Prepare and own financial models
- Audit / Review financial models prepared by others.


Qualification, Training and Experience Required


- Preferably CA / MBA (Finance)/CFA 


Previous Experience


- Atleast 3 to 4 years of financial modelling experience. The person should have worked on complex company forecast and valuation models. Experience in preparing cost models for bidding in response to govt. tenders will be an added advantage.
- Should have excellent spreadsheet modelling skills, with good analytical skills and an ability to solve problems. Should enjoy working in a challenging and professional environment. 
- Knowledge of building advanced Macros in Excel will be an added advantage
- Should have excellent communication skills with experience / ability of interacting with people in different geographies and service delivery remotely.
