AVP/VP - Business Development (M & A's) - Media Giant, Mumbai location

JOB DESCRIPTION


Position: Assistant Vice President/Vice President
Location: Mumbai, Mahalakshmi
Department: Business Development
Reporting to: Executive Vice President

Context & Role:

Identify opportunities for organic and inorganic growth for the organisation

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive management team decisions, lead deal execution and help manage post- acquisition integration and performance evaluation for the Indian operations.
- Conduct ongoing market research and scout investment opportunities.
- Track performance of THE COMPANY businesses and JVs and explore for areas of improvement.
- Track the performance of competition.
- Establish networking relationships with investment banks and other professional advisors.
- Originate and evaluate investment opportunities – qualitative and quantitative evaluation.
- Undertake due diligence exercise with teams of professionals.
- Advise management on the pros & cons of the deal from the business perspective.

Measures of Performance:

- Turnaround time take time to resolve issues
- Timeline adherence for new project deliveries

Desired qualifications and experience:

- Chartered Accountants would be preferred
- Post Graduate (MBA - Finance preferably) from top B-School
- 7-10 years corporate business development, consulting, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, private equity or investment banking experience

Knowledge and skills required :

- Strong on financials / valuations / modelling
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially with senior management.
- Demonstrated track record of executing M&A and Investment deals.

Critical personal traits:

- Good interpersonal skills
- Adaptable
- Able to work under pressure
- People Leadership requirement (incase the position has direct reportees)
