Job / Position Title: Senior Research Analyst
Function / Department: Inside Sales and Marketing
Designation: Officer / AM
Position reports to: DGM Inside Sales and Marketing
Primary purpose of the position:
- Specific & In-depth research work on companies, industries, personnel, markets and services.
- Ability to navigate & search on Google, varied internet sources - both subscribed databases and free information sites, on pre-agreed criteria.
- Answering ad hoc enquiries on a diverse range of topics whilst working under tight deadlines.
- Liaison with business units to both promote and establish specific research requirements.· Ability to comprehend, decode and cull-out essential information from varied data sources and generate crisp, insightful & relevant reports for stakeholders.
- Understanding of financial and insurance markets would be a significant advantage.
- Good exposure to one or more of the following sectors i.e. BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, and Telecom & Media.
- Ability to use Google extensively, proficiency in random internet search.
- Confident communication skills with Excellent written, verbal and comprehension in English.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good MS office skills.
- High level of attention to detail, quality and accuracy when recording data changes.
- The ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work within a multi-location team environment.
- Flair for handling global clients and senior level management executives.
- Team player, Can-do attitude.
- Excellent inter-personal communication.
- An interest in current affairs and events is preferred.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years experience
KNOWLEDGE/Experience & Qualifications:
Preferable experience of 2-4 years within similar research environment i.e. business or secondary research. Graduate in any stream.
SKILLS: Adept at communicating across business and cultural barriers to ensure customer satisfaction; Knowledge of writing proposals & documentation, Exceptional presentation skills, Capability to develop and maintain strong relationships, Potential to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, Thrive in a team-oriented & deadline driven environment, Aptitude for negotiating & bargaining.
Also, Confident and eloquent in written and oral communication, Analytical Skills, Self motivated, Focus on Quality, Target Oriented, High on Integrity, Crisis and conflict management, High follow up skills, Enthusiastic, Proactive, Ability to handle stress, Take initiative, Team Player, Cooperative, Excellent rapport building skills, Strong Planning and Organizational skills, Decision Making
Nature of experience: (In specific sector / position / role): BPO, IT or ITES background.
