AM / Manager Internal Communications - Mumbai Location

Designation: Assistant Manager / Manager - Internal Communication



Location: Malad (w), Mumbai (Travelling to other India locations of the Company too is included)

Job Description:

-       The Candidate must have experience in a similar role and must be good at written communication. Drafting news updates, employee initiative mails,etc

-       Possessing excellent verbal communication as he/she would have to talk to stakeholders, other departments, present views, etc

-       Should be well versed with photo shop / Corel Draw to be able to create posters, mailers, internal correspondence, design any kind of communications materials.

-       Should be Creative in thought & actions.

-       Developing an understanding and awareness of the internal communication needs across company locations. This will involve liaison with employees as well as respective Department Heads to understand changes and potential implications for internal communications.

-       Responsible for corporate internal communication processes, delivering timely and effective communications across company locations. This involves liaison with HR, training and functional heads across locations and delivering a simple coordinated process in order to provide effective,  well co-ordinated up communications delivery.

-       Build internal communications networks throughout the company locations.

-       Ensuring SPOCs with appropriate skills are identified across company locations  and that they receive support from the line management to deliver and share communications – e.g. business change managers, focus groups and communications audits.

-       Delivering regular communications for all staff through a range of channels, ensuring ease of access to communications, clarity and consistency of messages

-       Run Newsletters if & when required to ensure overall consistency of corporate messages,

-       E-Bulletins – Promoting use  e-bulletins for company news updates amongst staff. Supporting the Communications SPOCs in gathering news items and in publishing the weekly bulletins if required.

-       Intranet – Develop intranet by closely working with  communications teams.

-       Briefing material – Owning, developing and managing calendars of key messages to ensure consistent, relevant and timely delivery of internal communication material and to avoid message conflicts. Drafting easy to understand briefing material for various communications platforms.

-       Overseeing the co-ordination of CEO / Client visits communications. Liaising with administration team before and after the visits, providing support and information as required.

-       Continuous Improvement

-       Develop a regular feedback channels to promote cross communication within company locations and to ensure that messages are being delivered in a consistent and timely manner.

-       Monitor the results of the feedback to ensure continuous improvement in communications.

-       Develop knowledge and understanding of internal communication tools and techniques and how these can best be used across company locations

-       Share best practice with other colleagues

-       Maintain links in the outside world communications too as required

-       Make a measurable impact on communications through effective and engaging digital media approaches, including innovative use of social media channels, SMS and e-marketing

-       Proactively identify and promote items positive PR stories to the media as required/instructed to.

-       Act as a media spokesperson internally managing the press when required, including crisis situations, if any, on instructions.

-       Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and stockholders' reports as required.

-       Respond to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source

-       Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies

-       Liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople

-       Identify main client groups and audiences and determine the best way to reach them

-       Develop and maintain their organization's corporate image and identity, using logos and signs

Educational Background Required:

Graduate in any stream. Post Graduation in communications/journalism/media would be preferred. But 
relevant experience will be considered too, not open to freshers. Minimum 3-4 years of corporate 
experience in internal/external communications necessary.
