Position Overview:
We’re looking for someone with strong expertise &
experience with a good brand name consulting firm, preferably in some
healthcare advisory, but even otherwise is ok in business feasibility,
providing financially viable profit oriented solutions to the Hiring Company’s
clients in the US. The Solutions Manager will work closely with the Sales,
Solutions and Operations teams to design, plan and set up large and complex
customer engagements. The Solutions Manager has the responsibility to develop
such complex outsourcing solutions that meet customer requirements and are also
technically feasible, operationally efficient, financially attractive, and that
the customer will be willing to buy. This is a critical function, since each
customer engagement has huge financial consequences, and success or failure in
this function could lead to huge financial success or poor profitability, even
leading to termination of contract or loss of reputation.

large US-based hospitals and physician groups, and our contracts typically
involve the following aspects:
• long duration services, e.g. 5-7 years
• millions of dollars in revenue
• dozens of separate processes with varying degrees of complexity
• hundreds of employees delivering services from India and the US
• sophisticated IT systems for delivery and analytics
• highly customized to specific
customer requirements
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Work with the
Sales teams in the US and Operations teams in India & US, to design/develop
outsourcing solutions that meet customer requirements, including the following:
• Develop questionnaires to obtain information from potential
customers
• Analyze information provided by customers to understand their
business and identify
their requirements
• Develop suitable outsourced solutions to meet customer requirements,
including:
• Delivery organization – how will we deliver the work?
• Process/workflow – how will we structure the process/workflow?
• IT solution – IT connectivity from comapny facilities to customer
facilities
• Transition/migration plan – key activities involved in setting up
and starting operations
for the customer from company facilities
• Pricing – proposed pricing model, pricing terms and conditions
• Prepare solutions documents to be submitted to customers (such as
presentations,
proposals, RFI, RFP responses) describing all of the above
Conduct
assessment/consulting studies at the premises of potential customers in the
U.S., as a preliminary step in the sales cycle, including the following
activities:
• Develop questionnaires to obtain information from potential
customers
• Analyze information provided by customers
• Travel to customers’ locations for the assessment study
• Discuss with the customer, and review their operations
• Understand their operations, identify their requirements, Identify
what solutions meet
their requirements
• Develop suitable outsourced solutions to meet customer requirements,
including
delivery organization, process/workflow, IT solution, and so on
• Estimate customers’ cost
savings and revenue upsides from the provided solutions
• Prepare presentations or assessment reports to be submitted to
customers
Experience, Knowledge,
Skills/competencies required (what is expected to be achieved to meet organizational
goals)
Smart and creative professionals who can be
trained to perform this critical function, have strong conceptual skills and
communication skills, but may not have relevant work experience:
Atleast 2+ years experience in a function that requires strong
conceptual skills:
• management consulting
• investment banking
• industry research
• advertising (client servicing or account planning only)
• market research
• marketing (product management only)
• Strong conceptual skills, including the ability to understand customers’
requirements;
develop outsourced solutions; create financial models for
estimating cost savings and
pricing; and present abstract thoughts in
PowerPoint and Word
• Excellent written communication skills – e.g. editor of college
magazine
• BPO experience is not necessary
• Must be willing to travel to
customer locations in the US
Work timings: 1 pm to 10 pm
Education:
• Bachelor degree in engineering
• MBA from one of the tier I business schools – IIMs, ISB, JBIMS, FMS, etc.
